Last Broadcast Films is the beginning of a creative journey between filmmakers Douglas Gibbens & Robin Blanchard - and the brilliant creatives and crew they work with.

Focusing on high-concept genre storytelling, they are combining their influences and writing styles to craft original work that speaks to fundamentally deep issues within the human experience, and the tumultuous world we live in.

Why?

The world of cinema and narrative filmmaking is entering an age of uncertainty that will be wrought with bad actors cynically looking to destabilize real art with data-driven A.I. We strongly believe in the power of personal storytelling; a machine cannot make a story with intent - it can only replicate.

We believe in the rebellious nature and truth of art - this is our last broadcast.

Beneath Her Loving Skin

We have multiple projects on the go at any given point in time. We also collaborate with other filmmakers when the opportunities arise.

At the moment, we are in development on a more fleshed out version of Beneath Her Loving Skin, a short found-footage horror-comedy, and a feature-length closed-box psychological thriller.

We are also in development on an experimental, short audio-visual dance piece with filmmaker Natasha Kennedy.

We first met over a decade ago and began working together on whatever projects we could.

With over a decade of experience as creative partners, we have written countless scripts, shot several films, and continue to broaden our circles with like-minded artists.

Always looking for another project to produce, we love to collaborate and work with people developing ideas that spark interest and joy.
