Beneath Her Loving Skin
A boy desperately attempts to escape his mother's terminal decline through horror films, but spirals into a haunting realization of the trauma he cannot outrun.
This short horror was produced for York University's Masters film program as an initial concept-to-feature pitch. A second, more fleshed out version is currently in pre-production by the same team. With inspirations pulled from 1980s horror, and both psychological horror masterminds David Lynch & David Cronenberg, Beneath Her Loving Skin is a tribute to a genre the filmmakers are most inspired by to reflect on real-life trauma.
